It is not possible to upgrade 32-bit XP to 64-bit XP.

It is not possible to upgrade 32-bit XP to 64-bit Vista.

It is not possible to upgrade 32-bit Vista to 64-bit Vista.

It is not possible to upgrade 32-bit Windows 2003 to 64-bit Windows 2003.

It is not possible to upgrade Exchange 2003 Server (a 32-bit product) to Exchange 2007 (a 64-bit product).

But, we could upgrade 16-bit Windows 3.0 to 32-bit Windows 95. After 12 years, after all these technological advances, we have now the above restrictions. Microsoft’s current products are a quantum leap in the wrong direction.
